In case you missed it, Walmart, Target and Amazon are having a pricewar over some pre-release books due on shelves in November. One of those title is First Lord's Fury by Jim Butcher. This is the 6th and final book in the series. Amazon is selling the book here
for just 9.00 bucks. You can save 1 or 2 pennies by ordering from walmart or target. The Kindle price has also been lowered to $9. While I was ambivalent about the first book, I really enjoyed book 2, Academ's Fury. That price war is crazy. I kept hemming and hawing over Stephen King's Under the Dome and when they dropped the price to $9 I had to snap it up. That's 75% off cover, which is even better than a lot of used stores.
Some indie shops have talked about buying their stock through Amazon and Walmart just to get a better price for themselves, while also costing the big-boys money since they are losing so much already.
